    You know what I love about pizza? The varying styles... The arguments that can crop up: Thick vs Thin... Cheese, sauce, how many ingredients? Rhode Island Style Pizza... Hand stretched dough, placed on an oiled pan, pretty loaded up. Baked until VERY crispy. This place has a crust that does have a bit of thicker depth and chew, but it isn't like a Chicago... I AM from Chicago and I HATE Chicago style Deep Dish. This is a pretty good crust, not overly beaten up and docked. Nice yeasty notes. The SAUCE... OK, the sauce takes it and also highlights my sisters Eggplant Grinder (which was REAL GOOD). Their sauce is a "started on Monday and not ready until Sunday" styled sauce... There is a real depth of the tomato and almost a caramelized flavor from long and slow cooking/ simmering. Very tasty! The place is great and a perfect lunch stop from CT and on out way to Cape Cod.

    Used to be a regular stop. Not after today. First the place was freezing inside, ordered items we'd had before and definitely didn't taste the same they went down hill. Spinach pie not,it was a roll flattened with cheese & spinach on top. More like open faced spinach bread. We mentioned it when we left and they said they get them from a bakery. They can't even make their own spinach pie at a pizza place? The meatballs, chicken, & eggplant special all tasted like freezer burn and it just was not good. The chips & vending machine were the same.

    I finally got out scituate to try this pizza joint, and suddenly want to spend more time out there because of it. Upon walking in the door we were welcomed and made small talk with the chef and his co-workers. I ordered an eggplant sandwhich, it was the best I've ever had. I haven't tried the pizza, but that's next on my list. Overall, check out this place it's a friendly, local joint with absolutely scrumptious food.

    We have driven past this place so many times before deciding to stop in and I am so happy we did. Actually, twice now and both times I had a veggie grinder which was amazingly good. Wonderful bread toasted perfectly and filled with all kinds of veggies, a generous amount of cheese and topped with oil. I have yet to try anything else but the employees cooking the food and working at the counter were happy, attentive and kind which is always a good sign.

    Really good crust! BBQ chicken pizza on point. Add bacon! worth the extra dollar. they dont have fountain sodas, only a vending machine, so bring cash. they have an ATM, so thats convenient. I used to live in Chepachet, and am saddened we didn't order from here more often...now I live in VA, and am out of reach. Keep up the good work.

    My boyfriend and I were heading to Providence for the weekend and on the way there we decided to grab lunch. I went to college in Providence, so I would pass this pizza place everytime I went home, but never stopped. This time, I did and boy was I happy!!! Before we even walked in we could tell it was going to be good because it smelt amazing outside. We decided to sit at the bar rather than a table. We both got a beer out of the cooler (a decent selection of beers I might add) and then sat down and decided what to order. We both went with large grinders, I had turkey, my boyfriend got a steak and cheese. Definitely should've ordered smalls because they were HUGE!!!! But were extremely good! We had a nice conversation with all of the chefs working that day since they were working right on the other side of the counter. One of them said that they are one of the most expensive pizza places around, that's why the sandwiches are so large, but for us, that was most definitely not expensive!! We took the other half of our grinders with us and had them for lunch the next day - still delicious. Very very happy that we stopped there and the next time we go to Providence, we'll leave hungry so we can stop there again!!

    While pizza here is really good, the Eggplant Grinder takes the cake! This is a perfect Eggplant Grinder: the eggplant is nice and crisp and the marinara is homemade and flavorful. This is an awesome sandwich! It may seem excessive to give a 5-star review based on a single sandwich, but a good Eggplant Grinder is hard to make. The eggplant needs to baked correctly with a good marinara on a quality bread. I love Eggplant Grinders, but all too often they disappoint. Also, this place is a great dumpy time warp with orange chairs, wood paneling and beer from a vending machine--gotta love it.

    Whenever I am traveling back from CT and don't fee like driving the highways I will take Rt 6 through CT and RI. I have stopped here several times. I have had several subs and they were high quality subs on fresh rolls but have never tried the pizza. One night while getting a sub I saw a guy at the counter get an order of pasta and the sauce looked very good. On my next visit I decided to get Chicken Parm. Unfortunately the chicken was a frozen patty that they heated in the pizza oven. For pasta, there is a choice of spaghetti or their mix which I believe was small shells and bowties. I got their mix. The sauce was very good and the chicken was ok. The meatballs looked very good and I think I will get pasta and meatballs next time. The pasta came with garlic bread. One negative is that they don't have a simple side salad, just a hand made, larger salad that is chock full of vegetables. This would be a vegetable lovers salad (loads of peppers and mushrooms) but I like my salads more on the simple side. They have bottled soda in a machine or a selection of beers. This is a step up from a local pizza/sub shop and I recommend stopping in.

    last time I got take out here, what a debacle. First they gave me the wrong sandwich but this wasn't discovered until we got home, so after going back and waiting for them to make the right sandwich and getting home to finally eat the eggplant was insanely salty. Like borderline it was done intentionally as a prank. Seriously gross.

    When I'm in the mood for greasy, comfort food, artery clogging pizza, I go to Famous. The crust is chewy, with a crisp outside, just the way I like it. On the thick side, but not like chicago style. The pepperoni is cured and thick, to the point of where the oil pools inside the curled up little piece of goodness. I really did mean it when I said artery clogging. I always get take away, but if you're in the mood for sitting and enjoying your pizza, there is a bar area and you can watch your pizza being made. Take out has always been on time and never wrong. They also have beer. No waitresses, you just let the boys know what you want. Like I said, there is a mood I have to be in to get Famous, and it's not all the time, as I usually head down the street to Cuozzo's, but when in the mood, Famous is good. The Creamery was next door, but now the Village Tavern is there. I'm not a fan of their pizza (it's different) during the Art Festival, and it's really misleading. The pizza is thinner, and its obvious that they are taking down their quality to make some extra money. I'm also not a fan of the parking, as there's no dedicated 'pick up only' spots, and there is always overspill from the tavern/bar next door.

    Small pizza place we stopped at on way to the airport. You seat yourself, look at menu, then go to counter to order. I ordered drinks also and they told me to get from vending machine. $1.75 each. Back to table, not a long wait, they bring pizza to table. We ordered Hawaiian. It was good sauce, plenty of toppings. When your done, you take your pizza pan/trash to counter and pay. It was ok, inside decor different/outdated for sure. It was quiet inside but busy with what looked like mostly regulars. I would have given it a 4 for the pizza but the wait on myself and getting the drink from the vending machine was a bit of a turn off. If you don't mind that, it's a nice quick place to stop going back to the airport or wherever. Total $20 not bad....

    Used to be a great place... I was here once or twice a week. Unfortunately, the owner died in Feb and since then the inmates are running the asylum. F- bombs by the help is the new normal along with a piss poor attitude. Until the heirs figure out how to run a business, I'd avoid it like the plague.

    Famous Pizza makes me laugh because they're not famous for their pizza everyone loves them for their sandwiches. This place has the best grilled chicken grinder ever. I always get it with provolone, green peppers, lettuce, tomato and mayo. It's the friggin bomb. The guys who work in there are cool too...very chill. Fun Fact: They have no fryolator so don't expect to order fries or onion rings with your sandwich.

    It was a cold and blustery day. A drizzle was in the air. My brother's car broken down and a tow truck enroute, we found ourselves stranded. What hark? Shelter from the storm! I've heard tale that Famous Pizza of North Scituate was something to enjoy and lo, there it was. We went in with eager anticipation. The warmth of the cozy pizzeria was the first thing we noticed. The smell of bubbling mozzarella over the precise and secret measure of spices in the marinara was the second. Rife with simple decor for simple folk, the chatter of the local gentry permeated the scene. Large men with larger ovens behind them baked away, several pies at a time. We took our seats in this refuge and unburdened ourselves of our damp wear, weary as we were. We chose the crucible by which all self-proclaimed pizza emporiums are judged: a pepperoni, just so. We added our own dialogue to the cacophonous milieu. My brother shared that he had just seen "Philadelphia," the film starring Tom Hanks as a man dying of AIDS facing injustice. Though I have yet to see it myself, I concurred that it seemed sad. It was at this point that from behind the inner workings of the restaurant appeared one of the chefs, a crop of freshly bleached-blonde hair atop his head. A good look, or so I thought. Another member of the team, surely a culinary expert, who had been letting loose a barrage of lazy yet loud banter turned his assault upon the unassuming prey. "WOW! You look like a homosexual!" The magic spell of what could have been a wonderful dining experience was then and there broken. The wind had been taken out of the sails of every conversation in the small room. Had I heard right? In that pregnant vacuum, the brash idiot prattled on, "I don't get all this men-touching-men stuff. I mean, you don't see me getting all excited when a man touches me." A chuckle from a coworker...a slow, gradual return to the murmur of before. Blank stares from my brother and I toward one another. The offended victim looked annoyed and pressed on into the machinations of the ignorant dough dealership. This was ok, here? This is normal? While we were collecting ourselves in this culture shock, another member of the staff asked if we were still going to stay or if we would like our meal to go. He must have perceived our disapproval because he knew we originally wanted to eat in but clearly the atmosphere was no longer conducive to proper digestion. We chose the latter and began to produce the money for our food. He didn't wait for me to pay in full, accepting a significantly smaller amount and letting me know that that was fine. He knew his coworker was an ignoramus and their reputation suffered for it else this wouldn't have happened this way. We left, still astounded and no less cold or hungry. Parked in our parked car, we opened the the box to the rude pie and sampled. Despite the ignorance, it was indeed a tasty pizza. All said and done, try the pie in North Scituate if you can stomach an unhealthy serving of bigotry falling from the mouth of an ass. Thanks but no thanks, (In)Famous Pizza.

    Stopped in and got a sandwich to go- was not that bad Sandwich was a little pricey you would have thought you would have gotten a bigger sandwich for the price I was charged.

    You order and pay at the counter. If you want a non-alcoholic drink you can get it from a vending machine inside the restaurant. Pizza was very good, crunchy crust, overall good ingredients. I it is not a creamery, might have been before.
